“Frank had the capability to think strategically in a technical domain which was very important to our strategy development. He was also a good communicator with a technical or policy-based audience. Frank is well suited to assigns on rail systems requiring a good balance between the policy and technical domains.”

Queensland’s Updated State Infrastructure Plan

Following a previous successful blog post analysing the latest update of the national Infrastructure Priority List I thought it might be interesting to look at other strategy documents and comment on them from a rail signalling perspective. CBTC Kickstarter

CBTC savvy and confident in just two days

In sharp contrast to rather siloed conventional signalling, CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) will affect most people of the railway organisation introducing it. For some people this is a great opportunity, while others feel threatened due to perceived lack of understanding. No matter where you are on that scale, building a well-structured solid foundation of CBTC knowledge in this two-day live training will boost your confidence and self-esteem, removing the need to ‘lay low’ and enabling active participation in the new era of signalling. This course has proven to be highly effective for improving CBTC understanding and confidence, irrespective of background or prior signalling knowledge of participants.

CBTC Trailblazer

Your ‘next step’ to increase your CBTC confidence

One-day live training which provides you with a comprehensive easy-to-understand introduction to eight highly relevant CBTC topics, giving you the confidence of “getting it”. Recommended as follow-up for people who successfully attended the CBTC Kickstarter training, or people with comparable prior fundamental knowledge of CBTC.
